Rum Balls
"I remember these cookies from Christmas- mom would make tham and store them in a tin so that they would get firm. Get ready for a great hit of rum and chocolate" - Meg

2 Cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1 Cup shredded coconut or crushed pecans
1 Cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa
2 Tbsp white corn syrup
1/3 Cup rum or bourbon

1. Mix all ingredients well and shape into firm balls.
2. Roll in powdered sugar or sweetened cocoa powder and store in an air tight container. I like to roll the rum balls in one powder (sugar or cocoa) and the bourbon balls in the other.
